Nokwanda Langazana
Eastern Cape Project Coordinator
Nokwanda holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human and Social studies and specialized in Community Development. She has recently finished a Post Graduate Diploma in Leadership Development for NPOs.
Nokwanda was born in a small, rural community near of Bizana in the Eastern Cape. Her passion for community development started when she was serving her communities to regain their land through land restitution process when the Wild Coast Casino near Port Edward was built. She has since then served communities in Land and Human Rights, climate change and food security challenges and after exploring it all and becoming a mom, she discovered that the most meaningful impact she might be able to have is in the Early Childhood Development sector. Nokwanda is driven by the fact that anything important for a young child that has been missed in the first 1000 days will be very hard, if not impossible to fulfil later in life.
Since early 2023, Nokwanda serves the ECD sector with all her energy and knowledge as part of her passion for community development. Her dream and vision are to see previously disadvantage children included and given a fair chance to exploring opportunities like any other children. Nokwanda is coordinating Zero2Five’s Khula Nathi campaign in the Winnie Madikizela Mandela Municipality in Bizana, including well over 300 ECD practitioners and 6000 children.
She enjoys serving rural grassroots communities, this is her home and where she thrives to
make a difference.
